We've been busy behind the scenes here in TransistorLand. While working away we have seen our album get picked up at a couple of Canadian stations. Hamilton's INDI fm 101.5 and the University of British Columbia's CiTR 101.9 have added us to their music libraries!

CATCH US ON AMAZING RADIO IN THE UK
Jolly good news on the airplay front. You can catch Transistor on Amazing Radio on the Amazing Rock Show. This is our first airplay outside of Canada and we are pretty stoked about it! Host, Aaron Phillips selected our song, The Painter to be featured on the show.

Our Facebook challenge of picking a cover song for us to play has resulted in a winner! The theme was 80's music and it was fairly close but Change by Tears For Fears is the winner, beating out Nik Kershaw's Wouldn't It Be Good.
Over the next little while we will go into the studio and record a version of the song and post it on Facebook for free download!

The groundhog known as Transistor have finally come out of the long winter slumber. We have a show announcement! We will be part of the New Music Fest July 14 -17 in Barrie, Ontario.

So we braved temperatures of -14 to perform at this years' Earth Hour Music Festival in Barrie Ontario. We had a great time, and were astounded at how many people came out to not only celebrate Earth Hour in such extreme conditions, but enjoy a bunch of very talented bands. Big thanks to Gayle, John and crew for the behind the scenes work - Great Job!
We'll have pictures and hopefully some video to post soon. In the meantime, here was last nights setlist!

Some exciting news to pass along. Transistor will be performing in Downtown Barrie on March 26th as part of Earth Hour with Atlantis Blueprint and Bleeker Ridge.
Earth Hour is an initiative of the WWF that began in Australia in 2007 and the annual event has gone global. Asking people to take a stand on Global Climate Change by turning off all non-essential powered items for one hour at 8:30pm on March 26th.
